Hearing aids & cochlear implant support at Jindalee

Jindalee and the surrounding Centenary suburbs have an established, settled population — many families who have lived here for decades, alongside a growing number of retirees. That means a lot of our work here is about ongoing relationships: hearing aid rehabilitation over months rather than a single appointment, and adjustments as hearing needs change over years.

Tausif Junaid specialises in cochlear implants alongside hearing aid fitting, and provides ongoing follow-up support for existing cochlear implant recipients — mapping adjustments, troubleshooting, and coordination with your implant surgical team where needed — as well as independent hearing aid fitting with no brand quotas and real ear measurement verification.

Good to know

Why do hearing aids cost what they do?

Hearing aids of an identical size and shape can range from around $1,000 to $5,000 per device — the difference is almost entirely in the sound processor, not the physical size. We explain exactly what each technology tier buys you before you commit to anything.

Entry-level — covers everyday quiet-to-moderate listening, the most cost-effective way into modern technology

Premium — the most advanced noise processing for demanding, fast-changing environments, plus full connectivity features. Many premium hearing aids now use AI and deep neural network (DNN) sound processing: a processor trained on a large library of real-world sounds, so it can recognise speech and turn down background noise automatically as you move between places

Mid-level — better automatic adjustment in moderate background noise, like shopping centres and family gatherings

Eligible pensioners and DVA card holders receive fully subsidised devices at no cost under the Hearing Services Program
