Yeronga Brisbane | Brighter Ears Hearing Clinic
Brighter Ears brings independent, patient-first audiology to Brisbane's inner south. Our Yeronga clinic sits inside Sandstone Healthcare at Green Riverside Village on Figtree Street — a modern medical precinct just off the Ipswich Motorway, moments from the Brisbane River. We're an independent, locally owned hearing clinic (not a corporate chain) with over 19 years of experience, and we look after patients from Yeronga, Yeerongpilly, Annerley, Moorooka, Fairfield, Tennyson, and across Brisbane's inner-south.
We see a lot of professionals in this area — teachers, office workers, tradies — who've spent years in noisy environments and are starting to notice the effects. We also see plenty of retirees from the established riverside suburbs who want to stay connected with family and community. Whatever stage you're at, we'll give you honest, practical advice.
Hearing Services at Our Yeronga Clinic
Our Yeronga clinic is fully equipped for diagnostic hearing assessments and ongoing hearing care. Here's what we provide:
Diagnostic hearing evaluations — full audiological assessment using calibrated equipment, with clear results explained in plain English (no jargon, no pressure)
Hearing aid fitting with a 2-week free trial — best practice shows that real-world trialling leads to better long-term outcomes. We fit all major brands (Phonak, Oticon, ReSound, Signia, Widex) and you take them home for two weeks to test in your daily life — at work, socialising, watching TV — before you decide to purchase
All hearing aids are iPhone compatible — stream calls, music, and TV directly to your hearing aids from your iPhone. Every device we fit, regardless of brand or price point, is iPhone compatible as standard
Tinnitus assessment and management — if you're dealing with persistent ringing or buzzing, we can help identify the cause and build a management plan
Ear wax removal by micro-suction — gentle, precise, and done by the audiologist themselves, not handed off to a junior
Hearing Services Program — registered provider for pensioners and DVA cardholders, with access to fully subsidised hearing aids
Custom earplugs — musician plugs, swimmer plugs, and noise protection for tradies and industrial workers
Why People Across Brisbane's Inner South Choose Brighter Ears
There are plenty of hearing clinics in the inner-south, but most are owned by the big chains. Brighter Ears is different — we're independently owned and operated, which means the audiologist you see today is the same one you'll see next year. No rotating staff, no sales targets, no pushing one brand. We take the time to understand your hearing, your lifestyle, and what matters to you.
Independent and locally owned — we answer to our patients, not a corporate head office
19+ years of clinical audiology experience across Brisbane

Take the First Step Toward Better Hearing
Hearing loss often happens so gradually that people adjust without realising how much they're missing — the punchlines, the bird sounds, the grandchildren's voices. A hearing test takes under an hour and could change everything. And if you do need hearing aids, our 2-week free trial means you'll know they work in your real life before you spend a cent. Call Brighter Ears on 1300 105 038 to book at our Yeronga clinic, or ask about a home visit if that's easier for you.
Yeronga Hearing Clinic FAQ
How do I know if I need a hearing test?
Common signs include turning the TV up louder than others prefer, asking people to repeat themselves, struggling in noisy environments like restaurants, and feeling like everyone's mumbling. If any of that sounds familiar, book a test — it's free for eligible pensioners and affordable for private patients.
What's involved in a tinnitus assessment?
We start with a full hearing evaluation, because tinnitus is almost always linked to hearing loss. We'll assess the pitch and loudness of your tinnitus, check for any underlying causes, and then discuss management options — which might include hearing aids with tinnitus masking, sound therapy, or referral to a specialist if needed.
Do you fit hearing aids for working professionals?
Yes — many of our Yeronga patients are still in the workforce. We fit discreet, high-tech hearing aids that are iPhone compatible so you can take calls, stream music, and use them in meetings without anyone noticing. Every hearing aid we supply is iPhone compatible as standard, regardless of price point. We also fit custom musician earplugs for performers and music teachers.
How much do hearing aids cost at your Yeronga clinic?
It depends on the technology level and your eligibility. Pensioners and veterans under the Hearing Services Program can access fully subsidised hearing aids. For private patients, hearing aids range from approximately $0 to $8,000 per pair for pensioners depending on features. All aids are iPhone compatible as standard. And with our 2-week free trial, you test them in your real life before purchasing — best practice shows this leads to better long-term outcomes. We'll explain all options and pricing clearly — no surprise costs.
Can you help with earplugs for swimming or work?
Yes, we make custom-fit earplugs for swimmers, musicians, and workers exposed to industrial noise. These are moulded to your ear canal for a comfortable, secure fit that standard foam plugs can't match. Ask us about these when you book.
I work during the day. Can I get an after-hours appointment?
Our standard hours are 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, but we do accommodate after-hours and home visit requests when possible. Call us on 1300 105 038 and let us know what you need — we'll do our best to find a time that works for you.
